Copyrights, Trademarks, and Branding…Oh My!

I made this screencast a few courses ago, but I feel like the information is evergreen. There is often confusion around the differences between copyrights and trademarks. Branding sets the stage for these tools. Artists, writers, musicians, and other creative entrepreneurs should take notes on how to protect intellectual property.

  1. This was a great topic to revisit for this class. I have recently started copyrighting my online workshops. This was something I had put off in the past because it seemed overwhelming. It was actually a really easy process.

  2. Wonderful resource to share Joy! I remember this assignment. Branding can be really tricky in the sense of intention versus perception. There is significant room for grey area. It’s extremely important to get assistance with these topics for sure.
